Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

Arcane Mail (“we”) provides email accounts at arcanemail.io and on domains our users own. This policy explains what we store, why, and where.

What we store

  • Account details: your name, your Arcane Mail address and a hash of your password (we never store it in plain text).
  • Your mail: messages you send and receive, drafts, attachments, labels and settings.
  • Delivery records: whether messages you sent were delivered, bounced or reported as spam.
  • Technical data needed to keep the service secure, such as session information and IP addresses on sign-in.

How we use it

Only to run the service: delivering and receiving your mail, showing it to you, protecting accounts and preventing spam and abuse. We do not sell your data, show ads, or read your mail for marketing. Automated systems scan incoming mail for spam and malware.

Where it lives

Mail is sent and received through Amazon Simple Email Service and stored in our database (Neon, Postgres) and file storage (Vercel Blob). Our email and database infrastructure runs in the São Paulo, Brazil region. Raw copies of incoming messages are deleted from our receiving storage after 30 days; your mailbox keeps the processed message until you delete it.

Your choices

You can delete messages at any time; emptying them from Trash removes them permanently. To export your data or close your account, email privacy@arcanemail.io and we'll respond within 30 days.
